Notice: Cancellation of WOSL 2020 Outdoor Season

Hello WOSL Teams,

It is with the great disappointment that The WOSL Board along with the WOSL Focus Group have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 WOSL outdoor soccer season.

We need to be in Ontario Soccer’s phase three for competitive games to resume with no restrictions.  At this moment we are only in phase 2.  As we mentioned in past communications…July 16 was the official start of the second half of the season.  We would need to resume with a two week start up prior to August 1, 2020.  That is simply not going to happen.

Furthermore, we received numerous notifications in the past two weeks from teams advising us that they can no longer field a team. 

Team placements for 2020 will be carried over to 2021.

There will be a refund or credit of 85% of the yearly team membership fee. The 15% will cover the cost of the website and other incidentals.

If you paid for the League cup it will be reimbursed at 100%.

Please note:  Your membership fee will be carried over to 2021. If you wish a refund you MUST notify the league by July 31, 2020.  Email: woslsecretary@gmail.com
